Creating 'IB Language Russian-IB Profile'

 On 25th Of September, our Russian teacher asked for help to make posters of 'IB Learner Profile'. She wanted to divide tasks into groups and give tasks for people who were most suitable for them. And there was a task of drawing images according to the IB learner profile. I thought it would be a good contribution which could make use of my art skill. As I put art into my CAS project, it was essential for me to not miss the chance!
 I also asked my friends to help me with some images, so I could use time efficiently and organize tasks. I had to communicate with others in order to decide proper sized and images for the posters. I think the task gave me a chance to be better communicator and make use of my skills.
 Next time I will try to organize tasks and time better so I would not waste too much time one task (drawing). I understood that sometimes quality is not the only thing needed, but quantity is as much important as quality.

Learning outcomes are;
- Increase awareness of my strengths and areas for growth
- Undertake new challenges
- Considered the ethical implications of actions
- Worked collaboratively with others

My Fisrt Art Activity

 To start drawing, I need a theme. IB Leaner Profile says that students have to be balanced. And as I understand, the word balanced includes a good time management and efficiency. So I decided to set up a theme that I am already familiar with, Maiko San and Geiko San. Maiko and Geiko are Japanese traditional dancers. I love Japanese culture, especially kimono and Maiko's make up. I used to draw Maiko San for my IGCSE project 2 years ago and I really liked it. I thought drawing with this them, can help me to save my time for homework and other CAS projects.

   The First Step

 I didn't really draw anything during my summer vacation, so it would be difficult for me to draw with chalks, watercolors or any other equipment that require special skills. So I decided to make the process simple. This first drawing would be a reproduction of a photo by pencils.

 This is the picture I have chosen.

 1. A rough draft
2.Shading...the neck & the face
 3. Hair and the accessaries

4.Kimono ( the cloth)  and a hand

It took about 30 minues to find the picture from the Internet and draw the skeck. Next time I want to compleate drawing. I will have to draw an umblrella, finish shading and adding details.

Learning outcomes are;
- Increase awareness of my strengths and areas for growth
- Planned and initiated activities
- Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities

My CAS Plan

For my CAS, I want to do at least 1 thing that I had been seeking to do but did not have chance because of the busy school life and homework. So I've found one...Art. And it is not going to be some kind of boring 'dessin' lessons or learning a long long history of art...etc. I am going to set up a theme that can inspire me, and practice drawing till I would be satisfied. But I need a goal. After practicing some techniques or skills for the theme I have set up, I will have to draw one big drawing that would include all skills that I have been practicing and bring the theme to the end, so I can move on to the next theme or step.

For the 'service', I asked my mother to provide some jobs as she works in a private volunteer organization. She said that I can join her group, which carries out activities on every Saturday.

 For the activity, I will do small exercises every day. In April, I was hospitalized for a week to find out find out some issues. I used to have stomachache too often. After the week, my doctor gave me a plan of easy exercises. So I decided to remake the plan in more suitable form for me.
