It was a great experience
to be responsible for supervising year 9 students. I have never done such a
thing, and I was very glad to see the students participating very actively. I
had a chance to participate in some activities, especially Asian games which
were familiar to me. It was an excellent day and I was glad I managed to do my
duty very well.

I've started going to the gym! :D
Since I got a feedback about my CAS from the
teachers, now I'm aware that I have a serious problem with activities. I am
very bad at putting pressure on myself and I still have an issue with time
management. Thus I decided to go to the gym. I started going there since the
beginning of the summer holiday. As the new term started and I'm aware of my
timetable, I made a plan for my activity. I go the gym twice a week, and I
gradually increase the amount of exercises that I must do. For example, when I
only begun training, I could work only for an hour. I usually start with
walking on a walking machine. In July, I could walk only for 15 minuets. Now I
usually walk for 30 minuets on slopes.
It is very encouraging to see that my ability
and skill of training is improving. And I like that I sometimes communicate
with people who also train there. They give me very useful advices. I am very
happy that I finally do productive activities.
Helping At Church
During the summer holiday, I did not have much
opportunity to help at the church since I was not in Moscow. Unfortunately, I
managed to go there only twice.
The school has started and now I have quite
enough of time to spend on CAS. Thus I decided to go there as often as possible.
I usually go there every Saturday to help with cleaning up. Last week, I was
invited by people there to help them with setting up for a very important
religious event. Sadly, I was not allowed to take any pictures inside the
church. I helped there for about 2 hours. I was asked to throw away all
flowers, wash vases and finally clean icons as usual. It was very interesting to
get involved in such event, because, although I don't believe in God, listening
to people who have totally different opinions made me open-minded. I enjoyed
talking about the religion with them in Russian, and I even learnt some new
words. Interacting with people who are from various backgrounds is an important
experience, which also makes me a good communicator.

The New Art Project - no title
Since I've done my Maiko Project, I decided to start new one. It took me awhile to come up with a proper idea. I always liked drawing beautiful clothes and people. Since I drew Japanese clothes for my last project, I want to challenge something new. Thus, I decided to draw different dresses. I used to like drawing dancers, different dresses, a princess, ball gowns and other girlish things, so I thought it would be good if a theme of the new project is something related to them. Therefore, my new project will be called 'a ball project'. Hopefully, I will come up with a better title for it.
So here are some rough drawings that I drew for practice. It took me only 30 minuets to draw them. However, I did not draw the whole bodies and dresses. To be honest, I drew them just for fun and entertainment. Next time, I will try to actually draw a ball gown by water colours.
The Maiko Project - the final work
I am very disappointed at myself that it took me so long to finish this work and actually upload it. Although I was busy with exams and other important things, I have to admit that I could be much better at organizing time if I tried harder. Therefore, I can't say that I'm satisfied with my first project.
And I am not happy with the quality of my final drawing. I rushed a bit and I did not draw carefully. I missed some details of the back ground and Kimono. I hoped that I might be able to express the beauty and complexity of Kimono and the make-up of Maiko San by using pencils...but I clearly failed it.
Therefore I would give only 5 out of 10 for my project and the work itself.

Helping in church
Tuesday was 'день упокоенных', therefore I had to go to church. And I thought it could be a great chance for me to do my CAS service. As usual, I cleaned up the candelabrums and icons. Since I got used to this task, I could to work efficiently in short time. Next time, I want to do something new and hard, so I can be more active and helpful. I am planning to come to church again before my exam study will start. However, these days, I am very busy with doing my IAs and other homework, so I have to wait until I'll get enough time. And that would probably happen after two weeks from now.
